Duties:

Experienced in using sophisticated automated network and systems
management (NSM) tools (Formula, Spectrum, Solarwinds, Netplus and
Alcatel related management software), performs proactive fault management
tasks related to the networks supporting users (e.g. Asynchronous
Transfer Mode (ATM), Microwave equipment, gateways, SONET Switches, Fiber
Optics/DSL/Cable Modems, Media Converters and Line Encryption Devices
(KIV-7)). Monitors the performance of production networks, network
devices, network software and executive software managed by the
organization to reactively detect and then correct errors. Takes steps to
correct complex and difficult problems encountered. Initiates corrective
actions by other TNOSCs technicians and or external technicians as
required.

Coordinates among all organizations working on problems to ensure that
proper resolution occurs. Prepares and presents briefings to senior
management officials on complex/controversial issues.
Coordinate

Processes and forwards to Defense Enterprise Email (DEE) New user and Non
Person Entity (NPE) requests from the Area NEC’s via Remedy to DISA for
completion. Duties include QA the spreadsheets for completeness and
accuracy, return the post processing spreadsheets from DISA back the Area
NEC for confirmation of completion or error correction and re-submission.
Coordinate urgent VIP issues with Defense Enterprise Email (DEE) Tier II
for resolution.

Center and as the unit IMO for the Korea Theater Network Operations
Center (KTNOSC).

Currently serve as the unit Information Management Officer(IMO) for 6th
Signal Center, Korea Theater Network Operations Center (K-TNOSC), My
areas of responsibility include, resolving end user computer, printer,
e-mail, LAN connection, new LAN drops and account issues submitted via
Remedy, analyzing Information Assurance Vulnerability Assessment(IAVA)
reports and patching Vista workstations and printers to reduce or
eliminate potential vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with Defense
Information System Activity's (DISA) Security Technical Implementation
Guides (STIG). I am responsible for submitting Plan of Action and
Milestones (POAM), or Director Risk Acceptance (DRA) for all workstations
that cannot be patched due to an enterprise tool requirement. I am
experienced in using REM and Retina to perform scans on workstation to
verify the status and effectiveness of current patches applied.

(SWAN-K) and Korea wide area network (KWAN); Formula management view for
Active Directory Servers, MS Exchange Servers, Information Assurance
Sensors and System Management Servers for both SIPRNET and NIPRNET;

Interfaces with other KTNOSC staff to coordinate work, resolve complex
problems of LAN/WAN networks, Exchange server issue, Active Directory
server issue and ATM Network higher echelon requirements. Also interfaces
with the 1st Signal Brigade Operation Center and the two strategic
battalions for reporting and work coordination.

Responsible for immediate reporting of any major outages, site isolation,
trunks, links and authorized service interruption to DISA-PAC and to the
1st Signal Brigade Emergency Operation Center and provide corrective
actions.

Knowledgeable of DOD policies and the standard operating procedures
utilized in KTNOSC, facility control office.

While serving as the unit IMO I used several different resources
including Remedy, Vulnerability Management System (VMS), Retina, DISA

Node Center Switch Supervisor in a deployed MSE company in support of I
Corps and 22nd Signal Brigade; responsible for the installation,
operation, and maintenance of on ON-306D(V)1/TTC-47D Switching Shelter,
one M1037 HMMWV and one PU798 10 KW generator set valued in excess of $
700,000.
Duties:

Served as a Node Center Switch Supervisor responsible for the
installation, operation, maintenance of a Mobile Subscriber Equipment
(MSE) switching shelter during both garrison and combat environments.

Completed the 25B (Information Technology) course at Fort Gordon, GA,
where I studied basic computer and hardware installation and
troubleshooting techniques for Vists, and Windows XP, introduction to
UNIX, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Server 2003, how to setup Microsoft
Exchange, create user and admin accounts using Active Directory Users and
Computers (ADUC), CISCO routers and Switched, Basic and Advanced Access
Control Lists(ACL), Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) along with how to
trunk between differnt VLANs, CISCO router commands, and router command
privledge levels from basic to global, the OSI model and how it relates
to the different protocol stacks for example the tcp/ip protocol stack
and the ipx/spx protocol stack, and VOIP technology.

Completed the Battalion CPN course, was taught how to create VLAN's,
sub-interfaces, studied the various routing and routed protocols used in
establishing a LAN/WAN network, learned how to configure CISCO routers
and switches to support VOIP services via Call Manageer Express (CME),

TacLanes, was taught how to troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN issues.

Speed inter-nodal Data link, allowing the Node Center to carry a total of
13 data links instead of only 12 in support of our OIF mission, and added
addional redundancy to our network.

Worked with General Dynamics personel in converting two RAUs into super
data RAUs, capable of providing phone and data support to end users in
addition to being able to provide and an access point for Mobile
Subscriber Radio Transmiter (MSRT) traffic.
